First I'll start with the positives - this hotel is in a prime location on one of the main canals in the center of beautiful Bruges. It's in a historical house, and the outside patio and the indoor restaurant are simply beautiful. The room we had (No. 10) was very nice and spacious. It's a good value for the money, especially considering the location and that a very good breakfast in that beautiful restaurant are included. Also, the young lady in charge of the breakfast was very welcoming, friendly and professional. Also the guy with glasses at the front desk was nice. But the other guy, who was apparently the manager, was awful. First, he walked by us several times without greeting us when we were trying to check in (glasses guy was on the phone), so we ended up waiting about 10 minutes. The hotel does not have an elevator, and he didn't offer to help us with our luggage (we were on a longer trip and each had a big suitcase), and when my partner confronted him about this, he said we should have asked (sorry, but isn't that his job???), and finally, when we were having trouble with the internet and tv, he was extremely rude. It's unfortunate that someone who clearly doesn't like working with people has a job like this.
We had a great stay here, the hotel is very well located and our room was spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, special mention to Kiki at reception and breakfast. The restaurant has an excellent three course dinner which we enjoyed as a group of 8.
We have been to the restaurant of Duc de Bourgogne on 31 March 2025. We had the choice menu, providing a set of starter+main course+desert, which are selected among 4 options for each. The food was delicious and the two waiters were very polite. The pricing is compatible with the quality of food. We asked a table with canal view, it was lovely. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
The service was excellent! The recommendations did not disappoint, and the Choice Menu was superb. We also had a great view of the canal that was like a fairytale.
超棒的体验！强烈的推荐！Strongly recommend! Wonderful set menu with delicious snails with olive oil, mussels with white wine, and amazing Irish coffee ! The staff here are super friendly! The atmosphere is great with classical music . The lady’s room is clean. Definitely a wonderful restaurant!
